Love. Protection. Direction. Focus. Strength. The Victorians packed a lot into an arrow.

They were romantics with a flair for the dramatic, pinning meaning onto every charm, every stone, every carefully chosen symbol worn close…An arrow didn’t just decorate, it declared something.

These fancy arrows have a central twisted/spiral shaft and fancy ornate wings that glide into the direction that you’re going..just point and shoot..the mismatched gems add a blast of colour and a soft sound while you glide around life…

Each piece starts from different waxes pieces that I cut, shape and re-form, letting them settle into new compositions. I twisted the wire, each one with its own unique form. This process gives the pieces a sense of history and heritage, old details reimagined, reshaped, and carried forward in shiny metal..

These are the final pieces from my Worn Language mini collection, where I explored symbolic language in jewellery. They were a joy to make, and I hope that comes through when you wear them.
